The "DPL-R60" is a system line that handles everything from sheet supply to box formation in one go. Actual pallets are supplied to the conveyor using forklifts, and while moving the actual pallets, the fixed PP bands are cut and crushed for disposal. The bundle of sheets is lifted by a robotic arm and transferred to the next process conveyor. The transferred bundle of sheets has its ties cut by a tie-cutting device and is supplied to the sheet magazine. As a case study of our automatic packaging machinery, we would like to introduce an instance where we proposed an automatic sheet supply device for a cardboard case packer to a certain food manufacturer. ■ Background The client food manufacturer desired to improve product hygiene, reduce costs through labor savings, and achieve stable production through automation by fully automating their factory line. They consulted us about automating the supply of cardboard sheets to the cardboard automatic packaging machine. ■ Proposal In response, we proposed a fully automatic sheet supply device for the sheet magazine section of the cardboard case packer. We would like to introduce a case where we developed a "sheet supply machine" in response to the request to set the next batch of sheets without stopping the machinery in the next process. The customer was facing a problem where the magazine of 400 sheets would run out in about an hour, causing the machinery in the next process to stop each time, requiring the operator to replenish the sheets, which reduced productivity. After the introduction of our product, the operator no longer had to wait, as they could set the sheets for the next batch in the magazine before the current sheets ran out, thereby increasing the operator's flexibility.
